Richard McMahon is an energetic practitioner with over 22 years of experience in complementary health.
Richard holds a Masters Degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine, a Bachelor Degree in Acupuncture and a Diploma of Health Science in Remedial Massage. Richard is dedicated to continuous learning and takes every opportunity to develop his skills and strategies to make sure his patients get the best results in the fastest possible time.
After graduating, Richard has undertaken further studies in myofascial release and craniosacral balancing with Michael Stanborough, Cupping with Bruce Bentley, Sports Medicine Acupuncture with Matt Callison, Neo-Classical Acupuncture with Slate Burris and Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine with Dr. Arnaud Versluys.
Richard believes in combining the structural accuracy and functional understanding of modern western sports medicine with the wisdom and wholism that are to be found in the Han Dynasty Classics of the Chinese Medical tradition. With the benefit of working beside top level practitioners and the curiosity to explore many different aspects of complementary therapy Richard has developed a unique style and a wide breadth of general knowledge in regards to health, sports injuries, philosophy and training techniques.
Richard is experienced in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and injuries, anxiety, digestive disorders, gynaecology and in the treatment of illness, such as cold and flu.
Richard would love to help you get back on the path of whatever goals you are currently chasing, whether that is a PB in the gym, getting rid of those debilitating headaches or just to be able to sit without pain at work.
